My 9 to 5 Life

I've been in public education my entire adult life.  I taught elementary (3rd, 4th, and 5th grades) for the first twelve years of my career.  In 2006, I moved to the administration side of things and have been there ever since.  For nine years, I served as the Elementary GT Coordinator for Irving ISD.  In 2015, I took a leap of faith and left Irving for Northwest ISD where I have been the Advanced Academics Coordinator, K-12, ever since.  It's definitely a challenging job and one in which I am never bored.  I love it and I just can't imagine what else I would do.

Northwest ISD encourages students and educators alike to have an ePortfolio.  You can find mine here.

I also have Gifted Texan Girl.  I started this years ago and have used it to reflect on my learning as an educator of gifted learners.  I've also used to blog about books that I've read, both professional and personal.
